Engineering
Mission-Critical Systems.
Four decades of architectural leadership and proven execution.
Experience that
AI cannot replace.
Judgment that matters.
AI tools accelerate development. They cannot architect systems that must not fail, reconstruct undocumented protocols, or judge which shortcut will cost you later.
I use AI to work faster — while applying 40 years of experience on systems where failure is not an option.

What I build and where I lead
System Architecture
System design, API contracts, and data pipelines — built to stay coherent as requirements evolve.
Real-Time Command & Control
High-reliability operational systems, event-driven architectures, and legacy modernization.
Reverse Engineering
Binary analysis, protocol reconstruction, and performance diagnosis — with or without documentation.
Scientific & Space Systems
Science operations software for high-precision instruments. Currently leading SOC development for the ULTRASAT telescope.
How we work together
Fractional CTO / Tech Lead
- — Architecture decisions and design reviews
- — Engineering team guidance and mentorship
- — Technology selection and roadmap
- — Ongoing availability, not a one-time audit
AI-Augmented Development
- — Rapid prototyping with AI tooling oversight
- — Production-ready code with architectural integrity
- — AI tools integrated into the engineering workflow
- — Output that AI alone cannot produce
Technical Mentorship
- — One-on-one or team-level mentorship
- — Code review and architectural feedback
- — Domain knowledge transfer across defense, medical, and space
- — Fewer costly mistakes over time
ULTRASAT Space Telescope
Designing and building the Science Operations Center (SOC) for the ULTRASAT UV space telescope — ground architecture, data pipelines, and mission operations software.
Israel's first science space mission, in collaboration with NASA and DARA.

I started writing software at age 12. In the early 1980s I developed the Command & Control software for URDAN Steel Industries, managing the production flow of steel for the Israeli Merkava tank program — written in Turbo Pascal and Assembly.
I then served 4 years in IDF Unit 8200, where I architected complex software-hardware integrated systems under demanding operational requirements.
Following my service, I spent 20 years as the Founder and Lead Engineer at Control-Bit Technologies. I architected and developed the SESAM Command and Control software — a high-reliability platform deployed for mission-critical security and industrial automation by customers around the world.
From there: defense systems at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, cybersecurity protocol engineering at Medigate, medical imaging, and now leading the Science Operations Center (SOC) for the ULTRASAT space telescope at the Weizmann Institute. ProCyber Technologies was founded in 2016.
I use modern AI tooling to deliver faster — without trading away the judgment that only comes from four decades on high-stakes systems. I work with a small number of clients. Engagements are structured for substance, not scale.
